Returning to Emu Creek after her summer break, Maddison Munro resumes her position as Principal at the small, local primary school. She slips back easily into her uncomplicated country life with friends Jessie and Davey, and the delectably handsome Digby Sloane, the outdoors man with the gentle manner.
